Sitting on the UD last year (LAX-LHR), the other seat was occupied by a nicely dressed middle aged gentleman who was served with great deference while my food, etc. was nearly thrown at me! The CC would stop and ask if he wanted/needed anything and, it seemed, were rather pointed about not making eye contact with me. I can assure you that I asked for nothing when boarding except about getting my coat put in the closet, took my seat quietly and caused no ruckus with electronics being on, etc. Mrs. T8191 and I would get along just fine - I love the quiet slice and dice rather than the loud commentary.

It's sad but true that ladies on their own, particularly those of us of a certain age, often are not thought to be of much current or future value in the business world. We are not thought to be going to buy lots of expensive seats, etc. What people forget is that some of us own businesses, determine with whom our business does its flying, etc. Even more important is that I am "training" my grandson to be a great traveler and he's developing habits now that will go on for many years.
I agree, although I am still a young 'un.

I also notice a marked difference between my pre-married and married years. What gets me more is when everyone else gets addressed as Mr/Mrs/Ms and I get called by my first name. I am a married woman with an obivious diamond ring on my fourth finger of my left hand. You can call me Mrs, especially if my ticket says Mrs Cbear.
