I've certainly been addressed as 'sir' rather frequently on board BA flights which are heavy with business travellers. I don't think I look like a man.

I also remember one occasion when I (gch)barely got a hello when boarding from the crew at the door, while my husband (blue) got the full 'welcome on board sir' experience. It was a really noticeable difference - I was shocked by it as its not something I'd expect to happen these days.

I do generally get given the surveys though.
