I did try to 'understand' the issues as well after reading an article in the Telegraph. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/17462429-post723.html

One of the questions I have is do people, non crew, flying view single travelling women in the same way as they would. How do people treat them.

The business I have been in the past 10 years have many women involved in. I have more women managers than men. So i expect to see women flying alone. Do some men think they are something different, still these days.

I have to be honest, its something I just dont understand.
