I come from a military background as well though I was not the serving member. There were no "breaks" for being the female child and service spouses are certainly expected to and capable of holding their own in this world! I was also well bred and treat others with courtesy and respect unless they prove themselves unworthy and then I just don't bother with them. Most of us do the same and it may be that we interpret being ignored with the other not respecting us. It's sad to say but it seems to be primarily the female CC who ignore we ladies. They really do need to remember that most of us are able to and will direct business elsewhere if we don't feel respected. It's not just our immediate family's business - it can and does go well beyond that in many cases! We hold the purse strings in lots of areas!!!
