In my experience, yes.
Often enough to be noticeable, when travelling with my husband, he is always addressed as 'sir', whilst the corresponding 'madam' is usually absent from my own dialogue.
Perhaps significantly, this usually involves female cabin crew of around my own age (not a spring chicken anymore, yet still increasingly decades off retirement! ). I admit, it does rankle...
I don't want insincerity or undue deference - just equality and respect.
