And if recommended action fails, I'd even take the time to write Chris Elliott, perhaps the local newspaper and organizations concerned with violence against women or local women's business group (comments here and given at the hotel demonstrate why these are still necessary).
The wording "limited free parking" or the like would be much more appropriate for this hotel to use; leading customers to believe there is "free parking" is meaningless and basically advertising lies in this situation.
+1. If it says "free parking," the hotel should be prepared to provide adequate free parking for its guests. This was clearly not a one-time occurrence. Telling someone to park next door and get up by 7am is not, IMO, consistent with the simple description of free parking.
Curious as to what property this is.
