Virgin Trains Flying Club Survey

Just received this e-mail.

Although I tried to earn miles, I actually didn't receive any. The T&Cs made it clear that the miles were not guaranteed if the journey was not entirely on Virgin Trains, and mine was partly on South Eastern. I was just intrigued that my no miles triggered the "you earned Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles" message.

Am I missing something?
