It sounds like the "a la carte dining" from KLM, although KLM has this for ALL longhaul flights, not just 2 city pairs.
I don't think I'd go for this (most of the time cheaper/better alternatives can be found in the airport) but it's always good to have options. ^ Good move, DL!
