Very strange. Usually, Spanish is the language of choice at MIA, not English.

Exactly. Speaking languages other than English is not a "problem". You shouldn't have to speak English in order to visit the US, unless the US is trying to discourage tourism.

Precisely. And unofficially, there are Native American languages, there is French in northern New England and Louisiana, and Spanish everywhere. A more correct statement would have been "This is the United States. We speak lots of languages here."
