Those are some good links. I had no idea that much information was being displayed on the computers. It's funny because my experience is completely different. I have never been greeted by status (take this with a grain of salt, I just completed 30 stays and only registered for the program August of this year) and have never been recognized as staying at a property more than once.

I know the info must be accessible, last week I was in DEN and got a ground floor accessible room. Not my preference, but fine for short sleep before early flight that I had. Maybe 2 minutes after checking in, the young guy who checked me in, called and apologized about the room and asked me if I wanted to switch. It wasn't a problem, but I assumed that he had pulled up my account in detail and the info was there.

I noticed that the threads that are referenced are mostly talking about Hilton properties. Does anyone know if the system is the same for all properties (specifically, Hampton Inns)?
I don't so much usually get a specific recognition of being a Diamond, but "we have your HHonors information here", which I take to mean that they realize I'm an elite.

Sometimes they seem to realize I'm a repeat guest at the property and other times not mentioned; the latter cases I guess they don't look at that detail on the screen.
