The USA has officially declared itself secular. Though yes, there is no declaration of language. Two states have two official languages. In addition to English, Hawaii also has Hawaiian and New Mexico also has Spanish.

What the GA did was outrageous. Politics and personal opinions aside, that is no way to speak to a customer.
