Oh, what irony! The fact that AA staff @ MIA is unwilling or unable to speak English fluently is one of the reasons I avoid that carrier and airport whenever possible.
In fact, I jokingly refer to it as Fidel Castro International (and yes, I know he is not the favorite of any of Cuban-American residing in South Florida!). Yet, the efficiency with which it is run does remind me of how airports were administered during communism (I grew up in a communist country myself).
Oh, and before you flame me, I speak 4 languages fluently and 2 (Spanish included) at a beginner to moderate level
