I will be staying 3-4 nights in London in fall 2012 for our 20th anniversary trip.

Based on price, I'd assumed Mayfair would be the nicest but it has some poor recent reviews. Has anyone stayed there in the past 6 mos to a year? Care to comment?

I'm also looking at the Edwardian Mercer Street. It has more consistently good reviews.

Any others you'd recommend?
