It's been a few years since I was diamond at Hyatt, due to my travels in China and Korea more often I have been staying with other properties. Anyway, finally got my diamond this week and the 4 certs that come with it.

The diamond is good till 2/2013 but the first set of certs expire 2/2012. I am assuming I will get another 4 certs for next year correct?

I am still on a trip and will have one more 2 night stay in Grand Hyatt Taipei. The hotel is rather old and meh but the location is great so I usually stay there. If the certs are just going to expire and I get 4 new ones I will waste one for the upgrade (If all of the suites are like the one I was comped a while back there is nothing special at all). If I am not going to get 4 more I might chance it and see if I go back to Shanghai the beginning of next year and use them at the Park Hyatt there.

I saw a bunch of threads explaining how to book and use before your diamond expires but none when you got at the very end of the year.
