I would inform the hotel ahead, email them maybe?
As far as I know shuttle is free to the airport, but you may have to get a taxi to the station (its not far, I would say £10 max), But, I might be tempted to have a word with the shuttle driver..........
Carlos on front desk (manager) is an asset to the Hilton brand, he is superb, tell him I said hi!
Some of the rooms are more modern than others, you may be pleasantly surprised. I think this hotel has improved considerably over the latter years (Ive been a diamond for 12 years), I like it, the staff are great and it offers good value.
