Changing date on miles booking "we are unable to process your request"
I'm in Austria at the minute, as an Italian based BAEC account holder, trying to change the date of a miles booking LHR to PVG from Thursday of this week to sometime next year. I'm getting the message "Unfortunately we are unable to process your request at this time. We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible."
I'm not able to call the service centre tomorrow during the day, and am concerned that if I don't change the date tomorrow I'll loose my Avios and taxes.
I wonder whether part of the issue is that they require extra taxes to be paid and I'm trying to pay these using a card different to the original booking.
Has anyone else come across this? I suppose I could cancel, but the booking was made in the half miles sale so I'd rather roll it forward than cancel if possible.

PS There is availability on the dates I'm looking to change to - I'm using the dates which the website is suggesting....
