FRA is another airport with expensive airport charge/tax:

Germany Airport Security Charge: 8.80
Germany Air Transportation Tax: 61.59
Germany Passenger Service Charge: 39.82

Over $110 on all tickets.

UA does not (yet) charge fuel surcharges or anything like that

a similiar recent query http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...-question.html
Look at the fare breakdown of my next paid ticket to FRA:

Fare Breakdown
Airfare: 90.00 USD
U.S. Customs User Fee: 5.50
U.S. Immigration User Fee: 7.00
U.S. APHIS User Fee: 5.00
U.S. Federal Transportation Tax: 32.60
September 11th Security Fee: 2.50
Germany Airport Security Charge: 9.00
Germany Air Transportation Tax: 62.70
Germany Passenger Service Charge: 40.50
Fuel Surcharge: 420.00
U.S. Passenger Facility Charge: 4.50
Per Person Total: 679.30 USD

eTicket Total: 679.3 USD

If this were award ticket and UA starts charging fuel surcharge, this ticket would cost $589.30.
