Don't forget you can't use this Swiss motorway unless you have or buy (£30?) a Swiss vignette, so you can't enter Switzerland at the main autoroute customs.

We drove the backroads via Saint-Julien and it wasn't too bad, better than going all round the outside of Switzerland.
