Probably, but its a risk.

You can get avios for 1.4p each at the moment by buying 20,000 Starwood points at 20% discount and then converting them to 25,000 Avios. If BA repeat there annual '25% bonus on hotel transfers' promo again, then it comes down to 1.2p. You are guaranteed to get them into Avios this way!
