Perhaps it's because I mostly stay in major cities where you pay for parking everywhere but I'm more forgiving on these fees [provided that they are below "open lot" rates] than things like internet or gym charges which are really a part of staying somewhere and in the case of internet, something I'd be more people use than the in-room coffee makers.

My exception is places where it's clear everyone drove in or where the fee is not listed upfront.
