Have a few spare moments at work so thought I would jump in with a few details about myself.

Ever since I was young I have loved to travel... loved airplanes, loved staying in hotels, loved running around cities. In fact I scared my parents half to death in London by leaving the hotel to explore while everyone else was sleeping off jetlag (this was at age nine). Read about this board appropriately enough on a business trip where I flew first class for the first time and experienced my first airport lounge (where I saw no free food). Lurked for a few weeks and started posting. Have greatly appreciated all the advice I have received and hopefully will be able to give some in the future!

Like chexfan, I think I'm one of the younger posters at 23 and am greatly jealous of all the trips I read about. I live in Santa Monica now but previously lived in San Francisco. And moved to there from Texas. I work in retail and travel mainly for business to visit clients (mostly to Chicago). Manage to work in a few long trips here and there (planning a trip to Australia in the next two years, Hawaii this year, and Thailand next year) but mainly short hops ro visit friends and family. Working on gold on American but no other status yet .

Besides travel, in my spare time I love to cook (huge foodie, I consider eating at the French Laundry to be the high point of last year, besides meeting my boyfriend of course ), follow baseball (Rangers fan) and basketball (Kings and Lakers fan) religiously, read, and swim (floating in the water at the beach might be a better description), checking out flyertalk and surfing for miles/points... **** you all for getting me addicted.

Really appreciate this board and everyone who posts on it. Looking forward to meeting some of you in person when there's a flyertalk meet in LA.
