Agreed. I did that route last week (ATL-LGA on DL - FC). NOT impressed at all as compared to AA on a similar distance flight. I dont have pictures for a dinner flight, we were offered: (a) Protein plate (chicked, shrimp and a deviled egg) or (b) chicken sandwich with mozz, tomato, basil. Both came with fruit and plated dessert. Both cold, both served quickly.

On LGA-ORD (which is the same distance as LGA-ATL or a bit shorter) on AA, we would get hot nuts and drinks to start, choice of 2 hot entrees (generally one meat (chix or salmon) on pasta), a side salad, roll, and plated dessert.

Of course, with bankruptcy, things may change on AA, but I was very surprised with the dinner service on Delta.
