Am doing a MR to IAH with same plane turn next week after the cyber monday sale. can't beat 170 round trip to keep mvp on top of my plat on CO this year. Am using a friend's mvpg paper cert upgrade for both flights. Checking in at SEA i'll have no problem being able to hand over the paper cert if asked.

But I won't be able to easily check in at IAH in person. There's 50 min on the ground during the turn - to run off, exit, checkin, reclear security, etc seems risky - not to mention that they will likely close counter checkin before I can get there.

Any way I can avoid this and not lose my upgrade (not to mention not lose any seat on the plane)? Can I have checkin at seatac force my check-in for IAH? or have customer service talk to someone at IAH for me?
