The seats are nothing like what I consider business class seats, as in what AA, S7, RJ use on their shorthaul flights. The seats are (except on the 737-800s) fixed 5-abreast. They are equivalent of the BA converted seats.
I have sat in MA J seats numerous times both ahead and behind the curtain and a copule of times in BA SH J seats on A320s (only behind the curtain). The MA seats are much more comfortable (especially much softer) IMHO.

Only 3 out of the 5 737-800 are configured in charter-stlye, the remaining two have the same configuration as the 737-700s. The seat pitch is noticeably (by 2-3" I guess) better in J on the 737-700s and the 2 2-3 configured 737-800s than on the 737-600s.
