The only concern is that my friend needs to pay for the second room for company's reimbursement so his name needs to be on the receipt. If he just hands over the second card at check-in, will this affect (1) diamond benefits extended to his room though it is booked by me ; (2) points accural? The situation is a bit worrisome because he does not even have a HH membership so if his room denies my diamond benefits he may need to pay for Internet + breakfast...

In theory your workmate is not entitled to free internet via your Diamond benefits. Breakfast may be a different story depending on the type of Hilton. I believe HGI allow for the Diamond member and one other registered guest free breakfast. In theory the second room is not officially entitled to Executive upgrade or lounge access.
All the above is dependent on the individual hotel, person checking you in, ect.... I have posted from Honors website. Everything is spelled out there on what the
official rules are. As with anything, YMMV.

A Member may earn Base Points for up to two rooms per stay, if all eligible charges for both rooms are paid on one folio. Base Points will be earned for all eligible folio charges incurred on both rooms. The term "eligible folio charges" is defined below. For any other bonuses, including HHonors Marketing Partner Bonus Points and other promotional bonuses, Bonus Points will be awarded on one room only. For purposes of obtaining tier status, a Member may receive one stay credit on one room only. For purposes of earning miles for stays, miles may only be earned on one room only.
