Good to know! I just found some business class flights to Amsterdam (which is direct from my home of PDX) for 100K miles and some cruises to the Baltics and Russia from there. Now I'm looking into whether there is enough to entertain a toddler on those cruises. It looks promising.

I am a little concerned about how comfortable I'll be with a 2 y/o in my lap for 10 hours. She does well with flights if she can get up and walk around, but it's still 10 hours. And now I'm debating whether we'd be better off postponing this until she's 3, since we have the miles to get her her own seat. I'm just not sure if a 3 y/o will be any better at sitting still than a 2 y/o.

I'm not planning to take one 8-week vacation, just one for 2-3 weeks followed by mellow time at home and another for 2-3 weeks, which will likely be a visit to my parents in FL. Or I might see if I can work in a stop-over to Orlando on the way back if that doesn't overly complicated things.
