I frequently travel with 30-50 CDs/DVDs in a $5.99 holder in my carry-on, as well as dozens/hundreds of printed pages. Nobody ever was interested to look into them. Usually I put the CD holder into the bin simply to avoid any reason for the TSA to open my carry-on.

I would not recommend any "handle with care", "confidental" or other signs.
