Sure about this? Ideas as to when it starts/started? I sat next to a pilot in F yesterday that was on a paid F ticket and he was quick to point it out. But notable for this discussion was that he was in full uniform which clearly identified him as a DL employee.
A friend of mine flies for another airline, and even when on paid seats for vacation he dresses in full uniform. If nothing else, he breezes through airport security that way.
