I'm shortly going to be making my rservations for next December for EDI-FRA/LHR-BKK, not too sure what to do but currently leaning towards LHR but then the question becomes whether to opt for the day flight or the night flight. Might yet end all the uncertainty and take detour via SIN with SQ although I'm not too crazy about their seats.
FRA was first to get the 7443 back in the day from what I remember. And more recently first to get the 'guaranteed' 74R service. Don't forget LHR will be 2 x A346 for much of this winter - I'm sure that's a lot less capacity than FRA's 7443 + 77W. I'm not fussed either way, I'll take either - my ultimate destination is usually EDI or ABZ and LH offers good connections to both from FRA.
