SHARES has a lot of interconnection issues with partners, and confirming space doesn't always work right.

A Hiccup like this is just a cost of doing business with CO (and soon UA).

What I would have done is call AC the minute CO made the res and make sure they see you. Then go back to CO and have them fix it if they don't. I know it's a lot to think about when you're in a rushed situation like that, but it's necessary when you're doing business with a company that has a history of interconnection issues with its systems.

As for the cabbie, yeah, you got ripped off. They don't seem to like airline vouchers -- wonder if there is reimbursement hassle associated with them or people don't tip on top of the voucher.

I remember in SJU, at least a half dozen cabbies wouldn't take my UA cab voucher to get to the hotel after a VDB. Once they found someone willing to share a cab going in roughly the same direction did they take us.
