All sounds like a good idea (from somebody in a similar position)
Now that BA charge admin fees to cancel flights (even those that are fully refundable) can anybody please confirm which other airlines will allow you to do this without any fees at all?

Go to John Lewis, they accept Amex and returns...(something like crystal glassware - although you need to be careful!)
