i had an older backpack/travek pack from REI that was starting to show its age...........and i brought it to the local REI customer service counter. before I got done stating that i'd like it to be possibly replaced, since i am a co-op member of rei, the clerk asked me if i wanted my money back. well i told her i was travelling soon and wanted an equivalnt bag.

she suggested i get a current quivalent bag....and i agreed - i ended up getting pretty much all my money back (the original backpack was purchased back in 2005 or so) which i applied the credit to a new 28-inch (http://www.rei.com/product/778756/re...eled-duffel-28) no questions asked.
