Unless the UK has moved from Europe, that's where I live. (Whether we stay in Europe or not in the future is another debate, but lets not go there)
You miss the point - which has been highlighted by
KVS - there is no way that I would (and I have a merchant account and machine that will take swipes and chip+pin) accept payment from a swipe card that was not branded with Visa, MasterCard or whatever. I could be fooled by a good forgery, but anything else screams fraud and I'd be on the phone to my bank.
Nor would I process a chip+pin card that was "unbranded" either.
