This is odd. Less than 24 hours to flight time, OLCI is available (haven't yet), and still no Preferred Seats have opened up, for son and friend anyway. But ExpertFlyer shows several "Premium Only" seats still untaken, including three adjacent to their middle seats.

I guess that's good. Less likely that someone else will take them.

I gather, though, that they may never "open up" for non-status non-extra-payment pax. It seems to depend on the whim of the FA whether the scrum can slide over.
