That question is not answered in the FAQ. Neither is my question concerning the validity of transportation vouchers issued for VDB.
I'd tend to think it was an oversight in the FAQs rather than signaling an intention to invalidate gift cards and credit vouchers. As someone who holds about $2000 in various forms of AA scrip, I can testify that this would not be good for customer retention. I'd cash out my miles and mosey on over to UA.
