If you couldn't read the writing on the wall, AA sending a survey asking its top customers how they would "feel" if the company declared bankruptcy should have given it away.

AMR's falling stock price over same time frame specified supports the case that some people had this information ahead of its public release. For the sake of this not getting any uglier, I hope there was no insider trading involved and it was all pure speculation... I doubt it though
