Quikair?! From my experiences.

I'm 6 foot 2. My legs go 1/2 way into the aisle by the other person's seat, and getting on and off the aircraft is another experience. The cabin is also REALLY dry, and so bring chapstick / bottled water.

In addition, if you're connecting to flights at Calgary International, you'll need to take a taxi to the main terminal.

That said, those are the only two real drawbacks to flying Quikair. The price is right [~$157 o/w including tax if you book within 3 days], and they have taxi's waiting for you at the hangar if you need one.

The only problem with the YXD-YYC route is that there have been about three or four companies that have tried to service the route, but just seem to keep on going out of business [Smart Air, Smart Sky, Quik Air, Central Mountain Aviation[?] others?]

Of course, no Aeroplan points, but if you're looking for convienence and price, I'd say do it!

Following up on the 4N thread, and group of colleagues and I are doing a western swing next month, and while in Edmonton, we are doing an event near YXD before heading off to Calgary. We've booked AC all the way, but I'm wondering if Quikair is a good alternative--the location is right!
