Interesting. On another airline (our German friends) last Christmas my wife (perhaps foolishly) asked if the crackers in her bag were OK but was told they were not allowed. We had to open the suitcase, remove all the snappers, and snap them, so rather taking the fun out of our Christmas lunch abroad.
I'm sure if we hadn't mentioned them it would have been just fine!
