One CO flight attendant told me policy is 2 bottles per hour, whether they're served as a double, or seperately. But again, where is this published?
2 bottles/hr = 25+ bottles SFO-HKG.....

Nevertheless, especially when sitting in first class, I think the "rule" is very petty. It's definitely rarely followed...I'm denied a double in one in fifty flights. It certainly sours the flight experience to be treated like a child. And again, as the person that started this thread, this was my *first* drink. I can certainly understand being denied service if you are filthy drunk, especially if you're being rude. (I tend to fall asleep if I drink too much.)
1/50?
On AA, CX, JL, BR, BA, I have yet to be denied a double this year.
