The Financial Ombudsman Service is a lot more consumer-friendly than the courts, and free too. This all supposes that someone has enough money to take the matter through the courts.

I wish I understood where these ideas come from.

1. A contract can exist without cash changing hands.

2. In any event, BD has never given the miles away for free. They are either a contingent discount or they are purchased.

3. The small claims court is very cheap.
