Sorry to hear that Barclays cancelled you card.

Barclays US does actually monitor your credit reports for any additional changes like application sprees after you get one of their cards. Apparently, they do not take kindly to additional opened lines of credits afterwards...they have been known to either cancel the card or cut available credit lines.
