I'm an ordinary member, first and foremost - but I know what you mean about my comments perhaps carrying a little more weight.

The DC folks at bmi don't yet know what is going to happen. No doubt someone senior knows more. So, my comment is my own opinion, solely. No special info.

My analysis comes from the idea that LH wants no further financial liability. Picking up loose pax will come from comped SEN cards, not from transferred mileage balances. (Let bmi do the dirty work and then LH will look innocent to the uninformed public).

BA's route network is not well matched to the remaining UK based pax in DC; where there is commonality, BA will take the pax anyway for non-competitive reasons - and the rest are just chaff. Those they value are already on the BAEC books.

We may all yet have a packet of avios and a BA Gold card. Let's hope so. But my glass is half empty.

My best advice is to ticket what you can now, while it is still relatively quiet (the value sure ain't getting better, whatever the outcome). Image how hard it will be to get through to Pune, if they ever send that email...
