I'm sure I could force googlemaps to do something like this, but it only shows driving, not flying.

TripAdvisor has a map function which will show sites visited, but I don't think there is a way to put in the method of travel between them.
Try this website - it does some of what you want, and you can send a link to the map to whomever you want.
