For those considering the ITI option at MIA, please bear in mind that it is not unknown - or even uncommon - for the bags just to get mixed in with the ordinary bags and to get spewed out on the chaos that is an arrivals conveyor. Because of the local custom of taking bags off the conveyor and building suitacse barricades around the carousels (those who have been there will know what I mean), it is easy enough to miss one's bags even if one knows they should be there.
