To be honest, if a connection under two hours will stress you out, don't book it. I'm not familiar with FRA, but since it's a non-Schegen connection you don't need to go through immigration. That would make an hour-long connection doable.

It's not likely that LH (or any other airline) will hold the plane for you. It would cause a number of other issues, such as causing other passengers to miss their connections when the plane lands; crew timeout issues; or violating curfew at other airports. Yes, it's frustrating for you, but holding the plane would cause even more problems for more people.

One thing I don't understand is why you're paying to get luggage shipped if your bags miss the connection. Usually if your bags misconnect, it's the airline's responsibility to get the bags to your final airport.

One thing I like to do if I'm concerned about a connection is to make a list of alternate flights. This can help with rebooking should I miss my flight.
