They have a very modern fleet. Their oldest plane is a bit over 2 years old. They fly 737-800s all with the in-seat IFE and bigger overhead bins. As others have reported the FAs seem to provide better service.
I would certianly rate Jetconnect flights better than Qantas mainline 737 flights.
+1 from me as well for Jetconnect. I've flown them over 50x in the past year AKL-MEL and rate them pretty well. FA's certainly deliver much better service than OZ Domestic seem to manage in my opinion.
