But nowadays as I'm Gold Elite, I just bring along a wine shipper.
My thoughts exactly for all :-:G. I have 2-, 3-, 4-, 6- and 12-up shippers sitting in the garage rafters, ready to either to deadhead out to wine regions or deadhead back from da kine a island that don't have reasonable prices or selection, depending on either the buying opportunity or length of stay in said islands respectively. Weight domestically isn't an issue even for the 12-up. You typically have to sign a release but I've never had a problem with cardboard around styrofoam shippers. Some foreign domestic connections have limits 15-25 kg which could become an issue for 12 bottles of Champagne.
