IMHO bus is a way better option. Alternatively if you are on the comfort side, you can get a green (or red only?) taxi from HKIA going to Lok MA Chau Train station, which you hop off and walk across the boarder, change for mainland taxi and there you are!

How much did the Taxi ride set you back? I'll be going there late December, going from Skycity HK to JW Shenzhen. Thinking what would be the best way?
