Hertz has been listening to your feedback and we're ready to deliver on something you've been asking for. Currently in Denver and Atlanta, you can sign up to have your actual vehicle, the license plate details and parking space number sent to your e-mail address (which you presumably can access on your mobile phone) as soon as we've allocated it to you. We're calling it
Mobile Gold Alerts. Here's the actual info from
hertz.com:
What happens on the day of rental?
As soon as your car is ready, we will send you a Mobile Gold Alert by email. The message will include the car we have chosen for you and the plate number. At large US airports, we will also tell you the stall number it is parked in, so you can go straight to your car and get on your way. At other Hertz locations, you need to pick up the keys and contract from a Hertz representative.
What if I want a different car?
We want you to have the best rental experience always. So if you would like a different car, you have two choices:
Go to the Gold Choice* area and, if you have booked at least a midsize, you can pick from any of the available models or upgrade to one of the specialty cars
Ask a Hertz representative at the Gold VIP booth about available special offers
What if Hertz makes changes?
If you are late or we need to change your car, we will send you a message to let you know your new car. Or we will send you a message just asking you to come straight to the Gold VIP booth when you arrive and then we will get you on your way.
What happens if I don’t receive my Mobile Gold Alert?
Firstly, check the Hertz #1 Club Gold Board on arrival or step over to the Gold VIP booth. Also check that the email address in your profile is up to date.
If you are going to Denver or Atlanta and want to use the new
Hertz Mobile Gold Alerts, just go to
hertz.com and update your Gold profile (Personal and Contact Details section) to accept the option.
