The Amex card has the opportunity for extra miles for referrals on an ongoing basis. I wonder how many couples referred the other half for a card for a quick 22,000 miles.

I didn't even mention Tesco in my post. Plenty of people seem to amass a lot of miles through their Tesco spend. There is no US equivalent of that benefit. I would be seriously miles rich if there were!
